today's accomplishment was using shortkeys to create a keyboard shortcut for "take the number at the end of this url, add 1, and take me to that url"

this is almost entirely useless since most pages where that is useful will have a "next" button that works fine with extensions like nextpage, I just happened to be using a lot of a website where that behaviour was broken

I am at a stage where my frustrations with browsers and websites are tempting me into learning how to make my own extensions, but that looks a little daunting right now.

I found shortkeys first, noticed i need some javascript to get the behaviour I wanted, got frustrated, found nextpage instead, used that for a while until i got tired of this one website being broken, and finally sat down, learned minimal amounts of javascript, and got shortkeys working for the thing I want.

It's a cycle of being perpetually upset that computers are worse than they could be!
