it's gonna be weird when this is a Historical Period and people write fiction set in the distant past of 2020 because like either it'll be About the plague to some extent at least as a background fact, *or*, they'll have failed to do enough research and written characters going about their daily lives without any mention of it

and hopefully I'll be there to read their work or watch their movie or whatever and have obnoxious opinions on the subject
