there is an ongoing (at least as of a few days ago) edit war on the wikipedia page for flan on whether the article should be about the dessert sometimes also called crème caramel or caramel custard, or arguably a Latin American version thereof, or about a thing that is apparently somewhere in the general culinary space of pie that is the meaning of the word "flan" in the UK.
while I am baffled by the idea of the word flan used for a potentially savoury dish rather than a dessert, at least that version of the article provides a link to the other, much more complete article on crème caramel, while the other just talks about the dessert without even mentioning the other meaning of it.
