anyone else bothered that the Dominion of Levant is located in the west of Calernia despite the actual real-world region known as Levant being so named because it was east of Europe? (Levant, rising, the place where the sun rises)

... I was going to make a joke about this, but now that I think about it, wasn't the founding five-man band of the Levant from off-continent? Did they name it that because they came from the west of Calernia?

Wiki says that "The exact beginnings of the Dominion aren’t know. It’s implied that their villages were first established by the Baalite Hegemony, just as with the Thalassocracy of Ashur. At the time, the Dominion still didn’t exist even though its composite states did." I think the baalite hegemony is from a continent east of calernia, not west, but in either case we don't know who chose the name Levant
