sometimes "the real masculinity is being confident enough to be GNC" is the message someone needs to hear, but sometimes it's "it's ok to not have masculinity as a goal" and i think those two kind of trade against each other in discourse space even without literally contradicting each other.

but you should not listen to me on this subject, I have absolutely no opinion on what real masculinity actually is and have deliberately removed myself from that conversation.
