1) previously on this blog, I went back to work. Now, we're doing separate two-week shifts: half of us show up for two weeks while the other half remains home, then switch over (doable because the general situation means we're less busy than usual). We were sort of doing this before, except not universally because some roles are harder to replace than others, so a subset of us was doing full shifts, including me. We're going all-in on the shift separation now, though, which means that 1) good news, more time at home but 2) bad news, when at work now I have to cover for tasks I usually don't do and they are unfamiliar and stressful. Hopefully I'll get used to it over time, this week I've been kind of wiped after getting home.
2) today is my HRT anniversary, which is usually an occasion I like commemorating. I'm happy I started my transition. inconveniently right now I'm commemorating it while being off half my hrt meds, because shortages...
3) in further trans news: people gender me female a lot more lately, which is probably because strangers* only see me when I have half my face covered by a mask nowadays. I'm not dressing any more femme than usual or anything. anyway, it's nice.
*and non-strangers, for that matter, except for like the occasional video call with family or whatever, but either way non-strangers are not gendering me based on how I look that day.
