a while ago, I noticed that rewatching FMA when not a teenager makes the whole 'holy shit who thought a twelve-year-old in the military was a good idea' thing a lot more salient

i am experiencing a similar emotion rewatching Evangelion and noticing, hey, I'm not a tennager who thought they were a boy, I'm a 29-year-old-woman now. I'm a lot closer to Misato than to Shinji and suddenly 'hey why did we not have a better plan than telling the totally untrained kid to get in the fucking robot' is a thought that comes to mind.
