May. 10th, 2019 08:50 pmhot take: if you call someone and they answer and say 'hello?' you should not answer with 'hello?' and leave it at that. you should, like, say who you are or who you're looking for, since you're the one who knows why this phonecall is taking place and the other person is going to be very confused and if they are me probably hang up on you
(i have, on weird occasions, answered the phone only to have a conversation where the other party thinks I called them. I assume this is what's happening if you reply to my 'hello?' with your 'hello?')
