here's a fun one. a bill has been introduced in the argentinian congress proposing to make it illegal to deny genocides, crimes against humanity, pandemics, epidemics... and argentinian sovereignty over the falkland islands.

shit i wonder if calling them by the english rather than spanish name would itself be illegal

no idea how likely it is to pass, i don't exactly follow congress enough to have an idea about these things. it's pretty obviously meant as an attack on the opposition party (various members of which have made not-entirely-orthodox comments about the islands recently, and the bill is intended to preclude someone from holding public office if in violation). that also means it has obvious opposition and it might just be grandstanding, tho
