where did the accent mark on the e in Pokémon come from, anyway? It’s not there in Pocket Monsters, and it’s not there in pocket-monsters-but-spelled-in-katakana.
Did someone just put it there for no reason and it stuck? Is there something about the romanised contraction that makes it make sense?
