My workplace is finally shutting down. Meanwhile, the government is debating a full quarantine in the whole country until the end of March.

Argentina has 97 official cases and 3 deaths. Unofficially, of course, who the fuck knows, but we have some advance warning compared to, say, most of Europe, Asia, and North America. Summer is ending, which is normally a cause of celebration for me but if the seasonality hypothesis turns out to be correct that means the rate on that curve is about to jump. Good time to quarantine, I suppose.

I have enough food and such to last me a couple weeks, and honestly, not leaving my apartment for weeks at a time was my vacation plans. But depending on how long quarantine lasts and how soon I can get a doctor's appointment after it, I could run low on estrogen. That part is not gonna be fun, but I'll survive.

Stay safe and wash your hands.

Update: with tonight's statistics released, 97 has become 128. A number neatly associated with everyone's favourite geometric sequence, perhaps to underscore the exponential nature of contagion.

Oy. Well, may you have a... reasonably-well-handled quarantine, then.
