you don't have to include a PHO chapter in your story. I swear nobody is going to be standing around confused, asking if this is really set in the parahumans verse or if they have mistakenly started reading about some other superhero/villain named Taylor because of the absence of a segment from the point of view of someone logged in to a message board

Oh come on, I like those bits! Besides, all the worm-fic is written on SV or SB, so it's what they're used to! taking cheap shots about forum assholes is like water cooler talk.

I don't actually mind, I just think it's funny that almost every fic I've read does it

It's a fun stylistic element. You see it a bit in the more worm-derived web-serials too, if memory serves.
