see the problem is if i call people with superpowers 'parahumans' in my story it's obvious i'm stealing from Wildbow but if I call them 'metahumans' it's obvious I'm stealing from everyone else.

I just call ‘em supers. It’s like zombies—you don’t really need to come up with a name like zeds or crazies or freakers, because everyone already knows they’re zombies.

Super isn't really all that different from para. "Superhuman" (or, if you want to be really clever, "suprahuman") seems like a plausible technical term.
